Fourth attempt for Al Shatti

After three unfortunate experiences on the Dakar, Abdullah Al Shatti returns to the event with the firm intention to finally finish it. His first attempt was back in 2019 when the Kuwaiti discovered the rally that was then staged in South America. A year later but this time in neighbouring Saudi Arabia, the rider from Kuwait City lasted until stage 10 when he crashed out. And it would be a similar outcome last year. Al Shatti comes from motocross and trains and competes in the dunes of the Emirates and Qatar. The 37-year-old prepared for the Dakar by competing in several legs of the FIM Baja World Cup that he finished in 4th spot overall. Riding a KTM, his only goal is naturally to finish the legendary Dakar.
