City Shops Storage Building
Sealed bid proposals will be received by the City of Sedro-Woolley Public Works Department, 325 Metcalf Street, Sedro-Woolley, Washington, 98284 until 10:00 a.m., February 11, 2025, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read.
The improvement consists of: Construction of grading and site work, parking lot, paving, exterior lighting, sidewalks, temporary erosion control, permanent and temporary stormwater detention and treatment, signage, landscaping, plantings, seeding, restoration, utilities (power, water, sewer, communications), vehicle storage structures and foundations and all other work necessary to complete the improvements shown on the plans or described in the specifications to provide for a vehicle storage building.
This project is subject to all applicable Prevailing Wage statutes and regulations.
The Bid Documents and addenda are available on-line at www.sedro-woolley.gov/resources/bids_and_awards/index.php. Contractors who download these Bid Documents are responsible for ensuring that they are added to the plan holder’s list in order to receive any issued addenda. To be added to the plan holder’s list, send an email to jrosario@sedro-woolley.gov referencing Project No. 2025-PW-01, CITY SHOPS STORAGE BUILDING. Questions regarding this project may be directed to the Assistant City Engineer at kanderson@sedro-woolley.gov.
All work shall be done in accordance with the Special Provisions of the Bid Documents, the 2024 WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction, including the amendments thereto, City Standards and other referenced documents.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Sedro-Woolley.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for January 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Public Works Central Shop, 501 Alexander Rd., Sedro-Woolley.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): The City of Sedro-Woolley in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), commits to nondiscrimination on the basis of disability, in all of its programs and activities. The City of Sedro-Woolley reserves the right to accept a proposal of the bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid, to reject any or all bids, revise or cancel the work to be performed, or do the work otherwise, if the best interest of the City is served thereby. The City of Sedro-Woolley also reserves the right to postpone the bid award for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after bid opening.
