The Skagit County commissioners have proposed changes to Guemes Ferry operations that seem to be primarily an attack on senior residents of the island

Besides the proposed fare hikes of 74% and 81% for senior multi-ride passes, the commissioners propose essentially eliminating one of the senior residents' most-used runs, the overload run (called a "double") of the 11:15 a.m. run.
